TÜV SÜD HOLDS SEMINAR ON DATA SECURITY PROTECTION COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS AND RELEVANT IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES FOR AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY

On September 3, TÜV SÜD successfully held a seminar on data security protection compliance requirements and relevant implementation guidelines for the automotive industry in Guangzhou. At the seminar, TÜV SÜD experts elaborated on the current compliance challenges related to domestic and foreign vehicle network information security standards and regulations, in particular security issues arising in the application of new technologies. Their aim was to assist automakers respond to challenges looming in the form of complex regulatory frameworks in calm and collected fashion. More than 70 data security professionals from 50 companies, including BYD, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, GAC Group, and Jabil Circuit (Guangzhou) Ltd., were invited to attend the seminar.


The automotive industry is currently facing unprecedented challenges in the area of network information security as new technologies have emerged in recent years, such as the application of intelligence and connectivity. To help enterprises meet these challenges, experts from TÜV SÜD explained laws and regulations dealing with different aspects of data security protection, including data protection and processing in vehicular networking, GDPR, UN-R155 compliance and ISO/SAE 21434, and TISAX, etc.


This seminar enabled the participants to gain an understanding of domestic and foreign information security protection requirements, as well as to develop reliable information security assessment implementation guidelines and strategies, and ensure a high level of information security and network security.
