TÜV SÜD Teams up with GIES to Help Companies Better Understand Lighting Testing and Certification Technologies

TÜV SÜD and the Guangdong Illuminating Engineering Society (GIES) recently held a collaborative exchange activity at TÜV SÜD Guangzhou Testing Center. The event aims to enable the members of GIES to better understand the international certification of lighting products and learn about the latest lighting testing and certification technologies.

As an international certification and testing service provider, TÜV SÜD actively cooperates with GIES to make its contribution to the improvement of China’s illuminating industry standards and the quality of relevant products. It also participates in the preparation of the "front-runner" standard led by GIES and has in-depth exchanges with the member enterprises of GIES, including resolving their doubts over market supervision. 

Supported by GIES, TÜV SÜD held this exchange activity in a bid to help GIES’s members gain an in-depth understanding of latest lighting testing and certification technologies and what TÜV SÜD can offer in their access to the international market. During the event, TÜV SÜD introduced the international certification and testing of lighting products and answered questions from participants. It also gave a live demonstration and explanation of test equipment in the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Laboratory and the Optical Energy Efficiency Laboratory. 

The event not only helped participants understand the latest lighting testing and certification technologies, but also provided a platform for them to better understand the testing and certification industry. It also laid the groundwork for TÜV SÜD and the GIES to cooperate more closely in the future.
