TÜV SÜD Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Tuya Smart, Jointly Empowering Cybersecurity for IoT Devices

TÜV SÜD recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hangzhou Tuya Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Tuya Smart, NYSE: TUYA). In accordance with the agreement, TÜV SÜD will provide Tuya Smart with certification and labeling services regarding the ETSI EN 303 645 AoC evaluation, EU-GDPR data protection impact assessment, NISTIR 8259 series, Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS), and voluntary assessments. Both parties will work together to reinforce information security throughout the life cycle of IoT products.

Tuya Smart, a global IoT development platform, has conducted sound cooperation with TÜV SÜD for years. Its Wi-Fi+ Bluetooth module (model: No. WBR3) was evaluated by TÜV SÜD and obtained the ETSI EN 303 645 AoC. The long-term strategic partnership will lay a solid foundation for future cooperation in efficient and comprehensive testing, training and auditing. TÜV SÜD will provide Tuya’s Eco Partners with a range of specialized certification and labeling services to ensure that their safety mechanisms meet relevant industry standards.
