TÜV SÜD Issues Its First ISO/SAE 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity Certificate in Greater China to Desay SV Automotive

TÜV SÜD recently issued its first ISO/SAE 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity Certificate in Greater China to Huizhou Desay SV Automotive Co., Ltd. (Desay SV Automotive). This marked another key milestone achieved by Desay SV Automotive in an effort to deliver a safer, more comfortable and more efficient mobility experience. TÜV SÜD is committed to strengthening automotive cybersecurity in China through continuous innovations. 


TÜV SÜD Issues Its First ISO/SAE 21434 Automotive Cybersecurity Certificate in Greater China to Desay SV Automotive

As the most recognized cybersecurity standard in the automotive industry, the ISO/SAE 21434 Road vehicles—Cybersecurity engineering is accepted by both OEMs to suppliers. It covers cybersecurity management, full life cycle cybersecurity engineering processes,  cybersecurity related continuity and distributed development activities, aiming to ensure that product-related cybersecurity follow the “Secure by Design" principle based on standardized technical specifications, and products can deal with unknown risks with corresponding processes.

With the development of network, software and data technologies, intelligent connected vehicles are facing cybersecurity risks and attacked threats. A range of standards and regulations on automotive cybersecurity have been published worldwide, including the world's first mandatory automotive cybersecurity regulation WP. 29 R155 (Cyber Security and Cyber Security Management System). It highlights supplier cybersecurity management by OEMs, for which ISO/SAE 21434 gives best practices and provides a standard cornerstone for the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry.
