TÜV SÜD Invited to Deliver Speech at CCPIT Seminar on Cross-Border E-Commerce Operations and Compliance Risks

TÜV SÜD recently was invited to deliver a speech at an on-line seminar jointly hold by The Commercial Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the CCPIT Dongguan Sub-Council. The seminar focused on cross-border e-commerce operations and compliance risks. During the seminar, Mr. Sun Feijian, Technical Manager of EnE Dept. from TÜV SÜD Greater China, elaborated on opportunities and challenges for cross-border e-commerce retailers brought by compliance of home and household appliances.

As an important supplement, transformation and upgrade of traditional export,  cross-border e-commerce has greatly promoted global economic and trade integration. However, companies are facing very complex and changeable product compliance requirements by different countries. To ensure smooth access to target overseas market, it is essential to understand local laws and regulations.

Mr. Sun Feijian from TÜV SÜD shared the latest information on product compliance in cross-border e-commerce as well as best practices to help companies solve pain points. He also shed light on requirements on access to mainstream export destinations, including the US, EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, etc. He mentioned that to avoid product recall and removal,  product should meet local compliance requirements when entering the market.
