TÜV SÜD Attends Internet + Expo 2021 and Provides One-Stop E-Commerce Solutions

The China (Guangdong) International Internet Plus Exposition 2021 (Internet + Expo 2021) was recently held at the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Foshan, Guangzhou province. TÜV SÜD teamed up with Domee, Skyee, and SHOPLINE to hold a forum on one-stop solutions for cross-border e-commerce at its summit conference. The forum covered hot spots such as product compliance, intellectual property and overseas receipt and payment, aiming to help cross-border e-commerce sellers meet relevant product standards and regulations and achieve success in expanding overseas markets.

With the rapid development of e-commerce globally, consumers shown an increasing demand on quality control of products sold online. At the forum, Mr. Jason Yan, Project Manager of the Innovation Center of EnE Dept., TÜV SÜD Greater China, emphasized that product compliance is not only a passport for product access into local markets, but also represents the responsibility and guarantee for consumers.

He also mentioned that it is important to pay close attention to regulatory updates, as many countries are adjusting their policies from time to time to ensure product safety. For example, the EU Regulation 2019/1020, which came into force in July 2021, represents the EU’s strict requirements for online sellers, and is an important signal for unified quality regulation on products sold on whatever channels, both offline and online.
