China has exported a great quantity of masks to many countries and regions during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, complying with the regulatory requirements of target markets is still a key challenge. Ms. Jane Li, Senior Engineer of Softlines Dept., TÜV SÜD Greater China, introduced 4 types of masks and their certification and testing requirements in different countries. She also highlighted China’s efforts to improve the quality of exported medical masks. Only enterprises that have obtained international standard certification or already registered and listed by China’s Ministry of Commerce can be accepted by the customs.
TÜV SÜD provides customers with testing, certification, inspection, audit and training on a variety of commodity categories. Regarding masks, it offers services including EN 14683 full tests, ASTM F2100 full tests, EN 149 test, REACH SVHC and Appendix 17 test, non-medical mask manufacturing factory audit, etc. Next, TÜV SÜD experts will present detailed analyses of the latest regulations and requirements for baby products and wearable devices exported to the EU and the US through similar live streaming events.
