TÜV SÜD recently won the Best Service Provider Award under the “Pilot Program” jointly launched by the China Association for Consumer Products Quality and Safety Promotion (CACPQSP) and Amazon at the annual conference on Consumer Product Safety Compliance in Export 2022. The conference focused on strategic research, capacity building, standard formulation and social co-governance to promote the high-quality sustainable export of China’s consumer products., at which the “Pilot Program” for consumer goods safety compliance education was introduced.

The Pilot Program was designed to ensure that Chinese sellers can better market their products and ensure product compliance overseas. As a partner of Amazon, TÜV SÜD has rich compliance experience in the field of cross-border e-commerce. It provides testing, certification, factory inspection, goods inspection, sampling inspection and other customized services for electronic and electrical products, children’s products, toys and personal protective equipment (PPE). By participating in the “Pilot Program”, TÜV SÜD hopes to fundamentally provide technical support for products in foreign market access, reduce the risk of product recalls and removals, and improve the quality of goods to boost cross-border e-commerce.
At the “Pilot Program” Global PPE Compliance Management Symposium held in Sep. 2022, Mr. Zhou Rong, Manager of HDL Technical Department, TÜV SÜD GCN, shared the EU, the US and Japan’s requirements on PPE to help sellers better meet local requirements. TÜV SÜD now owns three qualifications for PPE certifications. In addition to PPE, it provides certification services for sports and leisure protective supplies such as sports helmets and protective gear to ensure they are functionally accurate and reliable when used for expected purposes.
