New head of TÜV SÜD Business Unit CyberSecurity Services

With effect from 15 February, Andreas Schweiger has taken the helm at the CyberSecurity Services Business Unit of the TÜV SÜD Division Business Assurance. He thus has global responsibility for IT security services and management of TÜV SÜD Sec-IT GmbH. Under his leadership, TÜV SÜD's CyberSecurity Services Business Unit will support companies in tapping the opportunities offered by digital transformation and minimising the risks involved in increasing connectivity.

This experienced specialist will further drive the development of solutions and services in our CyberSecurity business line.”

Andreas Schweiger is a business administration graduate (Diplom-Betriebswirt) and holds a master’s in Business Engineering. After various spells abroad, the 47-year-old held the position of lead advisor for Lufthansa Systems before becoming Senior Manager – Head of Cabin Electronic Systems Office at EADS. He was subsequently responsible for the cross-industry development and marketing of data products for earth observations at EADS ASTRIUM Infoterra Global. In 2011, Schweiger took up the position of Service Delivery Executive and Area Manager at Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for innovation and digital transformation programmes as well as the security of the in-house product portfolio. In his new role, Schweiger is responsible for strategic further development of global business for CyberSecurity Services within TÜV SÜD's Business Assurance Division. Andreas Schweiger reports directly to Prof. Dr. Peter Schaff, CEO of the Business Assurance Division.
