MAXXIS VS6 Tire Granted TÜV SÜD Premium Tire Mark Certification

Cologne, Germany—Recently, during the Cologne Tire Show, TÜV SÜD Group (hereinafter referred to as “TÜV SÜD”) awarded the TÜV SÜD Premium Tire Mark certification to the Victra fSport 6 (hereinafter referred to as “VS6”) high-performance tire from MAXXIS, the premium tire brand of Cheng Shin Rubber Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Cheng Shin Rubber”). This certification marks a major breakthrough for MAXXIS in the fields of tire R&D and high-end technological innovation, making the VS6 the first summer passenger car tire in Asia to obtain the TÜV SÜD Premium Tire Mark certification. Michael Stamm, Senior Account Manager and Technical Certifier at TÜV SÜD, attended the certification ceremony alongside Mr. Alan Luo, General Manager of the Cheng Shin Rubber, on behalf of Michael Staude, General Manager of the Tire and Wheel Division, to witness this milestone achivement.

TÜV SÜD Premium Tire Mark applies to the VS6 high-performance tire with the specification 235/35 R19 91Y XL. Based on a comprehensive evaluation system established in accordance with TÜV SÜD’s international standards, the tire underwent multiple independent and rigorous tests, including indoor laboratory tests and outdoor on-road tests. To ensure the impartiality and objectivity of the evaluation, all competing tires were independently procured by TÜV SÜD from the open market. The testing comprehensively covered core metrics such as wet and dry handling performance, rolling resistance, high-speed durability, and pass-by noise, ensuring the data possesses a high degree of credibility and reference value.

Test results show that the VS6 delivers outstanding handling performance on both dry and wet surfaces. Thanks to its proprietary, stable rubber compound formula, the tire maintains excellent wet braking performance whether new or worn, ensuring driving safety throughout its entire lifecycle. At the same time, the product demonstrates balanced performance across metrics such as rolling resistance, enhanced high-speed advance durability, and road noise, successfully combining low-carbon efficiency, high-speed safety, and a quiet, comfortable ride.

The TÜV SÜD Premium Tire Mark is an independent certification with strong market credibility in the international tire industry. Its evaluation standards are rigorous, requiring participating tires to undergo comparative testing against products from at least three leading industry brands across core dimensions such as wet and dry-weather performance, driving safety, and environmental performance. Products that pass this certification demonstrate that they meet the stringent global requirements for high-end passenger car tires in terms of safety standards, handling performance, production quality control, and cutting-edge material technology.
