What is GB testing and the GB standard?

China’s GB 18401-2010 is the National General Safety Technical Code for textile products. It is a mandatory standard that regulates the safety and quality of textile products in China. The standard applies to the production and sale of textile products such as garments, accessories and home textiles. New entrants into the market must be fully aware of standards and demonstrate that their products are compliant through GB testing.

Why is GB testing important?

Compliance to the GB standard means your product meets all the requirements for access to the textile market in China, ensuring an efficient market entry process. This will let you market and sell your product to China’s enormous consumer market.

Failure to comply could result in your products being banned or impounded and could lead to reputational damage and fines.

  2. Your CNAS and CMA-approved test reports undergo review.
  3. Industry & Commerce Administration Bureau supervises the circulation of your products within the market and conducts regular and irregular random inspections according to the product quality law.
