TÜV SÜD experts at the 9th European Food Sure Summit

On 13 and 14 May 2019, Europe's leading experts from the food industry will once again meet at the 9th European Food Sure Summit in Amsterdam. This year's agenda is varied and includes topics such as increasing transparency, security against food fraud and reducing waste. TÜV SÜD is a partner of the Summit and has a new service in its bag: eHACCP. TÜV SÜD food experts Ron Wacker, Florian Hilt and Elena Sosna will be on hand to provide information.

TÜV SÜD presents certificate to ESTEYCO

Offshore wind-turbine generators (WTG) can be realised even in deepwater areas using floating foundations. TÜV SÜD certified the innovative support structure, developed by an industrial consortium headed by ESTEYCO. The certificate was handed over at WindEurope 2019 in Bilbao.

Singapore is the first country in the world to have developed national guidelines, Technical Reference 68 (TR 68), to promote the safe deployment of fully autonomous vehicles. TR 68 gives clear specifications for OEM and can thus be used as a blueprint for future international standards in this field. Experts from TÜV SÜD were significantly involved in the development of TR 68 from the outset and contributed their expertise in the fields of operational/functional safety, cybersecurity and vehicular data – and hence in three out of four working groups. This underscores TÜV SÜD’s claim to international leadership as an independent development partner for autonomous driving.

TÜV SÜD has collaborated with the Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE), China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC), Shanghai Intelligent Automotive Center (SIAC), and International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) to establish an international alliance to develop and harmonize global standards of test methods and uniformly recognized standards for automated driving. The mission of the International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS) is the creation of an international portfolio for smart mobility test environments with the highest quality standards to effectively support the development and market launch of automated mobility.
